On the road uses fun and food to bring people together to catalyse the energy of communities. Strategically redistributing surplus food, wrapping each area in support that has music at the heart of every meal dignifies the help given and builds community capacity. Each community has its own solutions; the questions just need to be asked of the right people. First, communities must have the opportunity to come together, building relationships; talking to people and not to labels; learning the stories behind the statistics. Replacing poverty with potential. From speaking with our ‘On the road’ team, engaging with other members of your community to helping the Chef rustle a delicious dish for you all to enjoy. The Centrestage ‘On the road’ brings a flavour of what we do in Kilmarnock to many towns and villages across Ayrshire.
Our first on the road project was launched in Ardeer in April 2014, followed by Pennyburn, Fullarton, Drongan and Rankinston. See below for our latest timetable. Next time we are in your area, come pay us a visit.

‘Eat & Train’ is our new 12 week Cookery Class project kicking off this Spring in a Community near you.
This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to train with top Scottish Chefs, meet new folk and learn to cook delicious nutritional food. On the 12th week you’ll be able to bring guests along to enjoy the fruits of your labour and watch as you showcase your new culinary skills.
To top it all off you’ll gain yourself a recognised Certificate. If this sounds like something you’d been keen to get involved with, click to download the information pack and call us to book your place.
Our Cafe / Bar sits at the heart of our Centrestage community where visitors, customer and staff enjoy our food and inspiring atmosphere. From a delicious breakfast roll, light lunch offering to one of our signature dinner dishes - we have something for everyone to relish and enjoy.
All food sold within our Cafe \ Bar is produced in house and sourced from the best of Scottish suppliers. What’s also important to share is that when you join us, all monies are returned into our community of projects supporting our overall vision and fundamentally making a difference.
Keep your eyes peeled for themed nights and special offers during productions, ensuring our new look Cafe / Bar forms a key part of your matinee, evening pre-and post-performance. Fully licensed you can enjoy a refreshing glass of our house wine, or if lager is more for you, enjoy one from our varied international selection.
