From our Centrestage Creative Learning activities to our Centrestage Productions, there is so much fun to be had with us across our projects. We now welcome over 2,500 participants across our projects and activities each week.

Creative Learning

Creative Learning is at the heart of everything we do at Centrestage.

Open to all ages and abilities, we have something for everyone…beginners to advanced…..toddlers to grannies (and grandads!) Our extensive program includes classes in Musical Theatre, Dance Theatre, Acting, Vocal, Additional Support Needs, Pre-School and Technical Theatre.

No audition is required and you can join a class at any time throughout the year. Our various Creative Learning classes all have associated production outcomes in our very own custom built 200 seat theatre.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is at the heart of everything we do at Centrestage. Including singing, acting and dance, the Musical Theatre program is available from 4 years and upwards. There are five main streams within the program including Wee Stars (4-7yrs), 8-11yrs, 12-14yrs, 15-21yrs and our flagship adult CS Performers company.

Each of the Musical Theatre companies produce two productions a year, a cabaret style showcase... and a fully licensed production!

As with all classes at Centrestage, the classes are open to everyone regardless of age or experience/ability.

Centrestage has a thriving dance program and a highly creative output in our theatre venue. Whether it’s the pre-school and primary classes (Awkward Turtles & Bedlam) or our various Dance Theatre options that seamlessly blend story, character with innovative dance elements...there are options to suit everyone.

As with our busy Musical Theatre program, dance productions enjoy various levels of full scale production within our in-house 200 seat venue.

Acting skills are at the core of both Music and Dance Theatre classes. Our acting classes develop key skills which will enhance self-esteem and performance ability.

All of our Acting companies will produce one fully staged production a year as well as take part in a variety of cabaret performances in our What’s On calendar.

Our Gospel & Soul Choir present two major concerts each year in our theatre. Once junior choirs finish, you’re more than welcome to join CS Gospel & Soul Choir in the auditorium.

All merchandise required by Centrestage is produced by Centrestage Enterprise, located within the Catalyst Hub in John Finnie Street. Bespoke items are designed and branded using screen printing, sublimation and transfer techniques with new designs in continual development. Participants from Connect and Catalyst can access training and volunteering opportunities from within Centrestage Enterprise, gaining valuable work experience and skills.

Orders can also be placed by external agencies and all proceeds go towards supporting the work of Centrestage. From t-shirts, mugs to something more bespoke and interesting – get in touch for more information.
