Head of Service, Connected Communities, at North Ayrshire Council. Audrey has worked in research at the European Parliament for seven years and has senior management experience within a number of local authorities. Her first degree is in Medieval History and English Literature and her PhD specialism is information literacy.
In addition, Audrey has held positions as President of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in Scotland and Chair of CILIPS Consultative Council. Current local and national roles relate to community empowerment and its role in reducing inequalities, the place of kindness, child centred approaches and the role of the third and voluntary sectors in public sector service development and local democracy, Audrey currently leads the development of locality planning within North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership
