Founded in 2006, Centrestage is a multi-award-winning Kilmarnock based charity that believes that anyone, regardless of age background or experience can gain life changing social benefits through the active participation in the arts.

Our Vision is “To build energetic and inclusive communities with the Arts at the Heart”. 

We currently operate across seven sites throughout Ayrshire and welcome over 2500 participants each week. As we continue to grow we’re now seeking an enthusiastic Trust and Grant Manager to join our team. #oneteam.

The Role

As we start a new and exciting chapter on our journey we are looking for an experienced and determined fundraiser with a proven track record of generating income through Trust and Grant making organisations. The post would suit an enthusiastic individual to manage and monitor this key income stream for the charity. You will be leading the writing of bids to key funders and will manage quality control and ensure a consistent and credible bidding approach.

Demonstrable success in trust, philanthropic and statutory fundraising is essential. You will be skilled in researching appropriate sources and able to write impactful and convincing applications. Success will require working at pace, with a creative approach to raising funds and a relentless determination to succeed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building on relationships with existing trusts and grant giving organisations, which may include telephone, written, or face to face contact
  • Compile and submit credible applications, working with the CEO and internal departments to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
  • Research and manage the identification and approaches to, cold trusts and grant giving organisations that have not previously supported the work of the charity
  • Identifying projects and activities that require funding in conjunction with relevant in-house teams

 

Experience & skills:  

  • Developing and writing successful business plans / funding bids / tender applications
  • Working to agreed targets and deadlines through effective time management and prioritisation
  • Ability to identify fundraising opportunities within trusts and foundations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong relationship building skills
